Finally got them on!

Do you have any coils cut or strut tubes cut? Dont wanna spend a ton of money on coilovers if i can get your ride height on springs only. Looks nice. Oh and did you go with 225/50 tires?

I am buying some 15x9's this friday. Just wondering what kind of tires I can run on a 280z with stock struts and shocks? Suggestions and pictures would help a ton.

I've got Eibach springs and Tokico struts. 15x9 +0 wheels. I've got 225/50 Kumho Ecsta and I don't really have any issues with them. With a passenger I'll get some rub in the rear over hard bumps, could be solved by rolling that inner fender lip but I don't want to risk my paint because it happens so rarely.

Are the 225/50 Kumho Ecsta good tires? Also do they have a little stretch to them?

Ecsta is just a line of tires, not unlike Ziex, Proxes, etc. Mine are the AST, all-season-sportyish directional. I can't comment on whether they're good or not as I havn't really 'driven' on them. It's still cold out here and they break loose in 2nd gear, maybe when it's warmer they would hold better. They were the only tire I could find in that size for a reasonable price and I had to order them from the US, that was my only purchase decision. A 225 is a little stretched on a 9" rim.

Check tyrestretch.com and willtheyfit.com for (guessing url) images and an idea of how they sit.

Exactly like Orangetang said. I've got the AST as well. Decent tires, they grip pretty well but they're not an autocross tire or anything. They look good. I've got ~14,000 miles on them and they're probably just past half their life or so. Mine are also wearing a bit faster on the inside from camber, but these tires only ran me about $300 so I can't complain.

My 15x9 Rota Shakotans came in today. I have my set of 8mm wheel spacers for the front and have some 225/50 Kumho Ectsa tires on there way. Is there anything else I need to do to have them fit properly to my 280z?

Unless the 280 studs are longer than 240, you're going to need longer wheel studs.

AFAIK, the front track is roughly 13 mm wider than the rear to begin with, and with all things being equal; yes they will stick out further.

That said, there DOES seem to be more fender overhang in the front than the rear, so it might actually look equally flush, if that's what you mean. At least it's the case with my car. I havn't measured my track other than to estimate an alignment, so I can't say if I'm close to stock or not.

-edit... Since you have the spacers and rims, why not just see for yourself.

Could you point me in the direction of what kind of wheel nuts I need? I found these, my mechanic told me that I needed new cone shape ones.

Those should work, I used these: http://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Automotive-21123BC-Diameter-Thread/dp/B001O08ADO

They're holding up nicely. I've taken them on and off a bunch and no issues with paint or anything yet.

Thanks for the help man. I'll get pictures up as soon as it is out of the shop.
