SoulAmazing Posted November 29, 2011 Share Posted November 29, 2011 Hey guys today i had trouble getting my car into gear after turning it on, and my clutch pedal seemed to go straight to the floor. i pumped it a few times and was finally able to put it into gear. But about 5 min ago i tried the same trick and just didnt seem to work it went straight to the floor i was out pumpin it for a couple minutes and finally gave up. 19762802+2 Posted November 29, 2011 Share Posted November 29, 2011 Same thing happened to me it was my master cylinder for the clutch check if there is fluid on your firewall under the dash. Also you might want to check your slave cylinder on the tranny the master cylinder for brakes and clutch is the same one correct. and there is some but only because i spilled a bit when filling up the resevoirs but prior to that it was dry. and where can i find the slave cylinder on the trans? The clutch master cylinder is separate from the brake master cylinder. It is located on the firewall next to the brake master and booster. 260zShooter Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 The clutch master is under the inspection lid and only has one resivoir. The slave or operating clyinder has a hydrolic hose running to it. It is usually best to replace both at the same time since a new one can blow out the other.
