24OZ Posted January 25, 2012 Share Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) I've recently had a Quaife installed into my R200. Previously it took some force to remove the stub axles from the diff as there are circlips within the diff that keep it in place. However, now that the Quaife is installed the stub axles come out with no resistance which makes me think they did not put the circlips in there. Did they just forget to do this or is it the case that the quaife just isn't designed to incorporate them? I'm moving to CV shafts so are they necessary? NewZed Posted January 25, 2012 Share Posted January 25, 2012 Pretty sure that you can see the circlip inside if you look down the hole, with the axle out (use a mirror if your head won't fit in there).
