ckrell
Using the rocker rail seam as a the main reference point, how much lower is the floor pan and how much lower is the crossmember than the bottom of the rocker seam?
seattlejester
I'm assuming you are referring to an early Z, as well as referring to the seam underneath the rocker, and also assuming you are asking because you want to slam the car. From my recollection, on a 240z the floor is higher than the rocker as is the frame rail (hence why it's called the rocker, so you can rock your car on it if it becomes stuck on a crest). The cross member is also higher as the frame rail bends up near the engine bay, and the cross member is mounted under that. I think the lowest point becomes the exhaust and oil pan. Possible the diff and control arms depending on how small of a tire you run.
