dpuma8 Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 I am planning on doing the 240sx transmission swap into my L28et and I need to modify my Borg Warner 280zx transmission bell housing. In all the pictures of the swap though, the old Datun bell housings are one piece. Will my 2 piece bell housing work or should I search for another Datsun bell housing? NewZed Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) The Borg Warner transmission is totally different from the FS5W71B, C or H transmission (except for, maybe, the shifter which might work in the C and H versions). You need a bellhousing from an FS5W71B or FS4W71B transmission to swap in a C (300ZX) or H (240SX) transmission.
