Memphis280zxt
So i was driving home one night after work and my car shut off about a mile 1/2 down the road. I have a fuel pressure gauge before the fuel rail and it was reading 0 so i changed the fuel pump. That didn't fix the problem so i replaced my alternator, fuel filter, spark plugs, and injectors. I also recently replaced the ecu wiring harness. Now the problem i believe is my fuel pump modulator (turbo model only). I Wired the fuel pump up to my battery directly and it seems to pump too much fuel and floods the engine. i may not fully understand the whole fuel system so im asking for anyone's input who knows more. I need to know if there is a way to troubleshoot or maybe bypass this modulator, or maybe just buy i new one. thank you
macambra
It is usuallythe modulator. Common problem on all Nissans that had them- 720s,280ZXs. It wasn't too expensive when I was working at Nissan 10 years ago. May not be available anymore due to loss of sales - not alot of units need them anymore. If I'm not mistaken it's just a pwm, research it and I bet you could come up with a diy circuit that is user repairable. I just found a circuit I'm going to use for my auto climate control. I bought all the componants needed on ebay from china for less than 20 bucks.
