buying new 280zx

Calico

Recommended Posts

I'm not willing to pay for shipping, nor do I need them.

As for suspension, the tokico blues and tokico springs make the car a whole lot better. They are on sale right now for $80 a shock, which is pretty good:

Springs are a little more:

Might be able to find a better deal on ebay.

edit: yeah you can

Head units are not plug and play in these cars, you actually need to match wires. So you can go with any head unit. I made a face plate out of plastic trim and had my friend wire in the head unit.

@ blu no I actually need to get a few decent pics. Hey i'm still having brake issues that maybe u could help me with. When i press the brake pedal the brake lights do not come on, even after i changed the bulbs. i looked under the dash saw wat looked like (2) brake light switches mounted against the brake pedal. One has a little white tab on the end that seemingly gets pushed in when you hit the brakes. The other has no tab? How can you check and see if a brake switch is any good. A spare switch came w/the car, and was in a box?

Do the rear lights get power though/ like if your turn your lights on do the rears come on? or when you put it in reverse do the reverse lights work?

Could be the old " little plastic tab in the pedal broke so the brake lights were stuck on" scenario and the PO just disconnected the brake lights to get them to turn off before you bought it.

No the rear brake lights never come on. The 4ways/turn signals work but the brakes dont. I'm not sure about the reverse lights either? He said he unplugged the switch but im not exactly sure why? I'll swap out the switch and then check the tail light wires to nake sure everything is hooked up

1. So I did some electrical diagnosis, pulled the brake light switch and checked for 12v & got nothing!! I went to check fuses and couldnt find the lid that tells you which fuse is what?

2. Next im gettin ready to change my rotors & i noticed they seemed recessed on the hub, is a special tool required to remove the rotors?

3. how much is a complete l28 drivetrain worth?

4. Whats the market value of average/less than average s130 seats?

okay update, so i made a mistake. I actually dont have tails, only brakes. When i hit the brake pedal, the brake lights come on, when i put the headlights on the tails do not come on. upon further inspection i realised that i also dont have side markers or parking lights. I pulled the 2nd fuse(#15)for the tails & checked for (V) & had 11.65 @ the fuse block. Now im gonna trace the yellow/red wire, does anyone know where this wire goes? Does anyone know what the problem might be? Headlight swithc maybe? Thanks in advance
