Hester_prynne
Sketch_hs says he used the stock 280z tach with his 1jz motor by removing the inline resistor. I tried this with two different tach wires coming from the 1jz motor and neither of them worked. Has anyone else done this with success? Hester_prynne
Well I went ahead and picked up a dakota digital box. But the tach still doesnt work. I removed the inline resistor, but now i cant find it. Could that be the problem?
piston
I am using the tach wire that leads to the factory gauge from the 2jz and tap that wire into my light blue wire on 280z tach. I did not remove anything or any resistor from the tach. It is pretty accurate with the apexi safc readings so I'll go ahead and say it works!!!
