I'd like to see the mounts as well. My buddy is about to put a 1UZ in a 2+2 to daily, and thats the only hiccup we've run into so far. I really don't feel like making them from scratch.

Is this wiring setup similar for the RB20?

Not bad. What about tranny mounts? I've got an RB20 thats going in a 75 280z. Would prefer drop-in ease. Mkinneys kit is espensive, and i can get a set from a buddy for around what you're asking, but Billet is so sexy. How much for mounts AND trans mounts (using stock RB20 5 Speed)

Can you link me the numbers for those pieces? I have a w58, but I need the those pieces to attached it to 1UZFE

How much was the bellhousing/clutch setup from them? I'm in the US and was thinking about doing this, but that is my one obstacle so far. I've got the W58 laying around AND a 350z 6 Speed so...lerpderps

Prefer stock OEM set. NEW WOULD BE AWESOME! Have an Aristo Swap and would like new pistons, but I may just use the same ones and get new rings. Anyone have a set?

I currently daily drive a 260z with a 2JZ in stock form, and haven't even built an exhaust yet. Probably running 2.25 exhaust, with DP Cat, another shittier honda cat, resonator, and muffer. I'll tell you right now, that even with GOOD sticky tires and a damn good driver, this car is a handful even with stock twins. I may be putting down....250ish wheel right now, and its insane. Sure, build a car with 500 HP, but if you accidently fall into the boost range on a rainy day, thats going to be all she wrote lol. I'd say go the route I'm going. I'm going to keep it stock, boost it to 16-18 lb's, build a nice exhaust, and pickup an LSD and call it a day. Should be more than enough.

Both trannies are out of the case in "gear form" and they look identical. I only have one housing, and checked that it fit before I left so I assume both fit. If you found that stuff for 100$ by all means, PLEASE tell me where!

Im pretty sure the guy said they were both the same, but I'll look at them to make sure before I start "slapping parts around". I'll have to DL or buy a FSM then. I may actually have one. Turns out I couldn't go to my buddies shop yesterday (Where the trannies are) because no one was there, so I'll have to get more soon. Stand by!

Hello fellow Hybrid-Z guys and girls, Recently my girlfriend, who is now a Z addict, ran into a little complication. What she thought to be a faulty oil pressure gauge, turned out to be no oil in the car (go figure), and you know the rest. I recently sourced another engine to replace the broken one and plan to use its block with the head that was on the car previously (assuming it is not shot). In the deal, I also received two 5-speed transmissions and figured, why not swap to a 5-speed from a 4-speed for better fuel economy and driving all together. One is missing a pin of some sort that makes the car shift (according to the seller), and a second one is in decent shape with a broken fifth gear. Apparently I can take the 5th gear and pin from tranny 2, and slap it on tranny 1 and have a nice 5-speed in her car finally. My question is this: As a pretty smart guy, I'm not quite sure where to start and have never taken a transmission apart (or rebuilt one for that matter). I'm confident I can do this, but what I'm stuck on is what I need to get the job done. Not only as far as disassembling one and reassembling a finshed one, but what all do I need? I read that while I'm in it, I should refresh the bearings and synchros, but what else should I get for it? Also, where can I find these parts new (or sort of new)? Also any PDF's of the layout would be AWESOME. I did a little searching on google, and on here, but couldn't find anything (possibly because I was using my cell phone?) Help me Hybrid-Z-Kenobi, you're my only hope! As a little P.S. I'm also thinkin' about getting a 280zx turbo setup and slapping it on there when all is said and done :3 This should be fun!
