Datz350
Picked up a 71 240z w/chevy 305 carbd & th350. Sparks up all the time, idles fine, runs fine. Now for the questions. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a v8 datsun? Does anyone know what the second throttle cable is? It looks like some kind of sensor under the throttle cable. You can see it on the picture. AND, how can I get the speedo and tach working? Thanks for any help.
_Donovan_
First, There is no picture. Next, go to the JTR website and get the swap guide. It will have the diagram you are looking for and a lot of information you will eventually need. All the info to make the speedo work is there also. Mike kZ
Sounds like a kickdown cable
emeraldlion
Speedo is a simple conversion cable from JTR, and the tach wiring is in the JTR manual. Like previously stated, go ahead and buy the manual. It is worth every penny. You might also download the FSM and an electrical diagram for your car. GOTHALOSISM
Tach signal should come from the negative side of the coil (carbed) then you just install a resistor to get the correct signal. When you get a chance swap that boat anchor 305 and get a 327/350, you won't regret it.
