misterZ
^ there you go... I have two but not willing to part with for obvious reasons. Just watch for junk 260s on CL or the E88 head out of a 260 on Ebay; you'll find one some day, good luck!

B. Whisky
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/emp526/IMAG0702.jpg To me it looked like an incomplete 'c'. This is what came out of my early 260z. Its got E30 and E on the side.

This is what came out of my early 260z. Its got E30 and E on the side. That looks to be a C cam. The letters were in capitols so only the C woulding have that shape. How much? Can I see more pics of it?

B. Whisky
Are these any good for boost? How do they compare to the 'a' cam?
z240
Can anyone fill in the missing information here regarding this magically "C" 260 cam? If its a Nismo part, it would have to be purchased and installed by someone post dealership, wouldn't it? Why is it specific to 260's? Or are we saying some of these came stock from Nissan this way? The atlantic site cam table suggests all 260's came with this cam, then the excerpt from z240zdude says its a performance Nismo part. Just wondering how likely it is that someone with a 260 engine is going to find this cam in it. Mine doesn't have one.... Inquiring minds need to know!! B. Whisky
The story seems to be that sales were high enough here in the states that Nissan ran out of camshafts, and resorted to using datsun competition stock in order to fill the orders. This is what googling 'datsun c cam' brought up.
Perfect240z
Thats the story I got. But if you click the link on my first post it says the stats of it. A lot of people say it isn't really worth it and to buy a better cam. Its not the greatest on specs but it would be nice to have. B. Whiskey- depends on if it needs work, A new cam with better specs go for 125-300 bucks. Since its specs arent the highest and if I had to do work on it would depend on the offer. Im pretty sure I don't want to pay as much for a new cam price though.
B. Whisky
Its pretty dirty, particularly on the journals that act on the rockers, the lobes themselves and the cam tower journals are smooth and clean. If you don't want it I may just use it on something.
