rickyellow zee
The black cover for my AFM was removed and it appears that the afm has been tampered with. One of the glue blobs looks broken for lack of a better word. Does everything look to be as it should to you guys. Thanks for looking. BluDestiny
It doesn't look to be in bad shape and the contacts aren't rusted. Is there a problem with it or how it makes the car run?
JSM
I don't think that is the screw used for adjusting unless someone did it wrong: http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/afm/index.html Is that a Turbo AFM?
rickyellow zee
Yeah. its a turbo afm. just making sure im getting the most outta my motor swap. I just got my car back from a local shop who did the wiring for the L28et swap and noticed the black cap missing and the breach in the glue. Car runs fine, just making sure ya know? Thanks
rickyellow zee
Its just i expected more power outta tge swap. seems kinda slow and from what i read the afm can make or break the swaps potential.Time to up the boost i guess.
HowlerMonkey
It looks like someone might have changed the indexing with that screw. I'm sure there is a spec for resistence when it is fully closed so you can probably adjust it back to stock values pretty simply. That other screw that holds the plastic gear down is a bit harder to get right. If it wasn't touched, it's a good thing. Definately mark that gear and case with a sharpie or paint pen.
