280z4me2
Want to change a few gaskets while the motor is on the stand. Just curious if the stock oil pan clears everything in an s30. That way I can change it while im at it.

I used Sanderson block huggers from JTR, make sure you get the ones designed for the LT1. They sit close to the steering shaft but work fine. I put some heat tape on the pipe that runs under the starter to help prevent starter heat soak. Using a high torque starter also helps. GOTHALOSISM
^^^ Dead on right! The headers you want are the d-port headed ones.
deja
I would also recommend paying the $40 for Earl's gaskets. They are virtually leak proof. I have over 20K miles on mine, no leaks, never had to retighten a bolt.
GOTHALOSISM
Huh I never used those gaskets and have never had a leak. I did get the reusable flange gaskets for where the exhaust bolts up to it.
