can i use original fuel pump thats in my 260z to feed a mild v8?

Recommended Posts

I have my motor and transmission bolted up finally! Going to be installing everything else soon after I find someone to shorten my driveline. My question is this. For now could I use the stock electric fuel pump off my 260 to feed my SBC? Just had a baby and wife has taken control of the finances so im looking for ways to save a little money to atleast get it running and then install new fuel pump later on. Thanks everyone.

The answer is yes. You can run the stock fuel pump and lines on a mild v8 swap. You can run an inexpensive dead head fpr regulator with no return and get it running. It isn't optimal, but at the pressures your pump is supplying it probably won't create too much of an issue.
