im getting a 82 280zxt, parts car, what do i need to do to s

ok, i want to swap out the engine, tranny [i gotta buy a t5] and the 3.90 rear end [if thats the stock one, i think it is] along with anything else i need..

 

what else can i swap out?

what exactly do i need to make the stock turbo run? i know the wiring harness/computer but what else?

is the 3.90 really bad? im going to eventuly look for a 4.11 lsd? to swap out when i build more power..

 

this is sorta just a "start up kit" to get my old junky engine out of the car and start fresh with a nice clean turbo! this engine has way more power then my current setup so if i can swap stock for stock and then upgrade id love to do that, and im sure it can be done.. im getting a good deal on this 82 turbo.. i need alot of parts from it.. im going to look at some old threads now, thanks all.

I believe that the rearend ratio for an 82 turbo 5 speed is a 3.54...not a 3.90.

 

You will need the fuel pump, the complete motor wiring harness, and the ECU computer along with the coil/igniter. There might be a few other parts you need, but I haven't done this swap myself, so I don't know.

The rear end is a 2 pinion R200 of 3.54 ratio.
