stravi757
Hey guys yesterday one of the TC rods on my 280zx snapped on the freeway. A little scary to say the least. Anyways I thought I had spares but all of them turned out to be for S30's. Is there anyone local who has a pair laying around or is parting a zx? I could buy one on ebay but I dont want to wait for shipping since I cant drive my car until I get this fixed. Im in Danville, so If any of you bayarea guys got one please let me know. Thanks. 83turbo280zx
we're you running poly bushings? if so , take them off for the strut rods and use MOOG bushings. several people have used poly bushings and snapped their strut rods with them. Yes. poly bushings and the car is lowered. I have already drilled holes into the ploy bushing for when I reinstall the new strut rod. And i will be going back to stock struts and springs soon as well. I hate the tokico suspension in my ZX. And I have a new Rod on the way. Thanks HBZ. rejracer
Only use the poly bushing on the brake load bearing side (front on a 280zx) and leave the other stock. The poly bushings are too stiff to be used on both sides.
