For the best dollar, you need to v-8. You can get 200hrp from the 6, but you are going to pay for it. It cost me around $3000 to do my last block L-28 with E-31 Head. Horsepower cost is better with the V-8, more for less. How big of a checkbook do you have to give? Check under the search engine and look at the info on the change, it isn't that hard to do. A simple engine change without a lot of mods will still give you more power per dollar. Good Luck. icon_rolleyes.gif

For $2000 you can easily get 200hp out of an L28ET. The turbo motor stock with a little extra boost will do 200hp, which should put you slightly ahead of the offending Mustangs. I paid $750 for a running donor 280ZXT - there is very little extra expense bolting and wiring the motor and electronics. With an intercooler and a bigger fuel pump and injectors you can run low 13 - high 12 second 1/4s which blows them away.

I agree. The L28ET was very undertuned from Nissan. Adapt an intercooler, run a rising rate fuel pressure regulator with a big pump, plug the manifold pop-off valve, install a compressor bypass valve, and increase the boost; and you've just picked up a lot of horsepower for a small investment.
