champfacp
Hello gents,I am thinking about fuel delivery for my 240z, and I've found this Aeromotive in tank fuel pump:Aeromotive stealth 18688Here:http://aeromotiveinc.com/2012/11/phantom-fuel-system/This kit seems pretty good, no needs to baffle the stock fuel tank, outlet, return and vent connections...Does someone here is using this kit? Any comments ? Edited April 19, 2013 by champfacp
tyler031734
I think the golden rule of "never trust the salesmen" should always be a factor. I'm not sure there "foam and bladder" would handle the low fuel level and aggressive driving they claim. I also dont care for "700hp on EFI and 1000hp on carbs. They never state a flow rate at a given pressure. Also do you need to spend the cash for a 700hp pump? In the end it is your engine that suffers or gains. I bought a 75-early77 tank and have had no issues. You can always go with a surge tank as well. EFI guys use those when there baffles just wont due. Look up STI options on Google. Tony D
Looks like a nice setup to install, the only issue being the space to route -6AN fittings over the top of the S30 tank. Solves sourcing a tank from a vehicle never sold on your continent (or hemisphere! That's why "location" is required...) This will likely be a nice way to go. Gets rid of the issues associated with running a surge pot... You will need to run a return line...either the original vapor line or another one. The sizing of their pump and lines may be an issue using the 8 & 6 mm lines in the S30 Chassis for fuel feed and return... That's what I thought: clean and simple fuel system, no surge tank, no "plumbing". And I like the idea of keeping the stock tank (for stock look and to avoid buying parts like fuel cell, not easy to find in Europe at a correct price...) What do you mean about the sizing of the pump and lines?
