tooquick260
I need to put some shielding on my down pipe as well as around my break master cylinder and intake manifold. What are you guys using? Did you make it or did you buy something that worked?

tooquick260
Turbo housing and wrap the exhaust. Did you wrap the housing or did you buy a blanket?
OldAndyAndTheSea
Wrapped the manifold. Bought a housing/blanket for the turbo (had to be slightly modified to fit the wastegate actuator.) Wrapped the downpipe about 1.5 feet Stopping just before my wideband O2. (picture shown is before I welded the bung. So not shown) Edited May 19, 2013 by OldAndyAndTheSea
tooquick260
Looks Good@ I should have done mine before installing. I will put the blanket on the turbo though. I was thinking of copying the stock heat shield from my N/A setup. OldAndy, what are you doing about your breather coming off the engine. Are you going to vent to a tank? OldAndyAndTheSea
Thanks. You'll definitely see the difference with the blanket. That's for sure. And if you're talking about the PCV. I kept the stock system in tact, at least from the crankcase to the intake manifold. Since I am using a N42 intake, I had clearance issues with the PCV valve and the turbo compressor housing. I plugged the existing PCV hole, and drilled and tapped one of the old heat shield mounts for the new placement, clear of the turbo. I had to shorten an oem hose. These pictures will better explain it. Relocated PCV on N42 non egr intake manifold. Initial OEM hose (from a 1976 280z) "Modified" haha and installed. As for the valve cover. I'm just using the 5/8" K&N air filter. Edited May 19, 2013 by OldAndyAndTheSea
tooquick260
Ok I see what you did, The brass looking thing you have in line, is that stock? or something you picked up somewhere else.
OldAndyAndTheSea
Some random plumbing I had kicking around in the garage. There are millions of ways to do it way cleaner than I did. I will most likely adapt a better looking system later on down the line.

tooquick260
Thanks for response. I am sure others have issues with heat. What are you doing about it? What are you using? Did you make a shield? Where did you put it?
