250GeeTeeOoo
Anyone in the San Antonio - Floresville, Texas area want to work on my Alpha 1 for cash? I can't do the work but I'll have some money soon. As a bare minimum the SBC needs the heads/intake installed and the rear seal replaced. The TH350 needs the front seal replaced and the shift linkage adjusted. Lastly, the fiberglass GTO dash and gauges need to be installed. Those things will get it running again. I want additional work done but those are the only mandatory things right now. 250GeeTeeOoo
What the....? "Alpha 1" is now linked to tennis shoes on eBay and "TH350" is linked to a car amp at Crutchfield? Not my doing, folks. Edited June 4, 2013 by 250GeeTeeOoo
250GeeTeeOoo
If anyone knows of someone in this area who might want to work on this car then please tell them about this thread. I need this car running and I'll have money in two weeks to pay for the work.
Mikelly
Just a heads up, but this is a low traffic board that will require a couple days or weeks before someone might respond to your post with something meaningful concerning taking this on. Mike Okay, thank you. BTW, I have a garage with A/C and will buy a set of stands and/or wheel dollies to make things easier. However, I no longer have any tools. ihiryu
I'm a bit far away from you, I'm about 2.5 hours from ya. I'd be willing to do the work, but someone local might be better for ya.

Thank you. A neighbor has an in-law who might do the work. If he can't do the work and I need to pay for some travel I can do that.
250GeeTeeOoo
I hope to know tomorrow, 10 June, whether or not the neighbor's in-law can do this work.
250GeeTeeOoo
No definitive answer after a couple of inquiries... so I think I won't hire my neighbor's in-law.
250GeeTeeOoo
No more replies here either so maybe I'll place an ad in craigslist??
cockerstar
Try posting it in the off topic or want to buy section. Member's projects might not be the best subforum to get the traffic you're looking for.
RebekahsZ
Try contacting a vocational high school or technical college in your area.
250GeeTeeOoo
Okay, I'll try both suggestions. Thank you.
