elishallen
I installed a new exedy clutch when i was painting my engine bay in my 280z.. Well I was driving down the road with my younger brother and my gas pedal got stuck. It was only going in one direction. So long story short, until I reached down there and yanked it back up with my hand after I turned the engine off in the middle of the road. It was redlining for a few seconds. It drove the rest of the 5 mile trip just fine. Is there anything i should be checking to make sure I did not kill the new clutch? If anyone is curious, I put an accelerator rod boot on my firewall and it jammed the living hell out of it.
BluDestiny
So you were moving, then you floored it and it got stuck? Did you push the clutch pedal in also? How long did this whole event last?
Leon
What makes you think that something happened to the clutch? I'm a bit confused here...
elishallen
Leon: Well it was about a mile or so into breaking it in. I figure that may be considered the roughest thing I could have done while breaking it in other than downshifting to much. BluDestiny: While jammed, I was in second and shifted to fourth before cutting it off.
