IncompetentOne
Would any negative effects occur if I were to block off the pcv valve as well as where it connects on the block, and put a little air filter on top of the camshaft cover? I know that the pcv valve pulls air out of the crank case to keep it all clean with fresh air but is it necessary?
T-Bone028
You can put a filter on the Block breather or ideally run it to a catch can with a breather on the catch can if you really want to eliminate it. I would not block it off...look up pcv evacuation systems on wikipedia to learn more about the function and why they were designed.... IncompetentOne
Thanks! I assume since the valve screws into the intake i can just take it out and put a plug in its place
BluDestiny
If you mean just the valve on the intake, you can remove it and block it with an npt allen plug. but then I would run the block and valve cover into a catch can. If you just block everything off you will blow your valve cover gasket every day.
