J240ZTurbo
Been playing with a 76 few months ago, and I remebered hearing the fuel pump pre priming on the on bottom before the starting point for a few second, I was having issues with the car so I replace the old pump with a new walbro 255, not sure whats going on now, it only comes on at the starting point, I put a text light and I got no power it only comes on when I turned the key all the way, any ideas on what could be wrong please help. Thanks Juan.
masta tech
Fuel pump relay to small amps? Or u wired it back2 front maybe?
NewZed
76 ... I remebered hearing the fuel pump pre priming ...now, it only comes on at the starting point, 76 does not have a pump prime. The 76 pump only gets power at Start and when the AFM contact switch is made to the fuel pump relay. Your memory of a fuel pump prime may have been a dream about a ZX. Domzs
So the pump will stay on once the engine turnes on? Like NewZed stated , the fuel pump will stay on once the engine is running and during crank ( AFM opens ) .

J240ZTurbo
I put a new walbro 255 fuel pump, can I keep the same old stock fuel pressure regulator, or do I need another kind so it wont get fouled?
Domzs
You can keep your stock regulator if fuel pressure is within spec. Need to check fuel pressure .
