grretc
Is that the same as the chock cable?
munters
Not exactly. Its the one on the right side
skillinp
Yeah, I've looked all over the place and CAN NOT find one. I see choke cables all over the place, but I don't even need a manual choke, my carb is electrically choked.
1 tuff z
The right one [if I remember correctly] came to the US only on a few of the early cars and is very rare and many dealers removed them as they were viewed as a safety hazard [because they allowed you to manipulate the throttle by hand...]. munters
Yes I know I had them but they disapeared at the body shop many years ago. It was a cool feature. I liked it. Edited August 22, 2013 by munters
skillinp
Well it's basically a rudimentary cruise control right? I mean obviously there's no feedback, but if you were say driving at a constant speed on a relatively flat road, that's when it would be useful, no? munters
I always used it for driving off on a hill. One foot on the brake, one on the clutch and start with the handthrottle. You could also used it as a cruise control, but as far i remember the max was like 3000 rpm I could reach with it.
