Guest zphreek
hey guys! i was just wondering why the off-center circle on the front of the cam (drives the fuel pump, proper term is eccentric or something) doesnt cause the camshaft to be unbalanced?? or does it? SleeperZ
I think the main reason is because the cam turns half the speed of the crank. Also the eccentrics and keys are so close the axis of rotation, any inertial imbalances are almost negligible.
yo2001
Lighter rocker arms and retainers will help the high rev. You can have the cam journal too big and have the cam wabble sometime but but normally.
