The best way to locate the drain hole or slot(s) may be to remove the element, pour a cup of water in the top hole, see where it wants to pool, and put the drain there. Mike C Posted July 2, 2002 Share Posted July 2, 2002 I just mounted a cone filter in front of the rad like the FI guys do. I had a damaged SU manifold that I cut the heat riser off of and connected a hose to my K&N after removing the internal filter.
