Serban
Things have slowed down a bit, I'm driving the car more and more, and only get to work on it here and there over the weekend. Bodywork sucks, but I'm sure it will be nice when it's done. I picked up a 240Z steering wheel and shift knob, as well as a carb manifold with a couple round top SUs. It is missing some of the linkages, and the carbs were taken apart and loosely put back together...not sure if I want to mess with it though. And lastly, I've been working with a carbon fiber shop locally to do some parts. So far I've got the tail light panels with a layer of carbon on them, but if there's enough interest, we might do some molds and pop out full carbon fiber panels. Mine are still not done yet, but here's some teaser pics Edited March 25, 2014 by Serban
PMG
Hey, I think you've done well so far. I hope you keep going and fix her up more and more.. I'm thinking of replacing my front suspension pieces as well as I've got a little play in the passenger front. Did you notice a difference when you changed out the tie rods, ball joints etc? Serban
Front suspension components made a pretty big difference. There was a lot of play before.

Serban
Thanks! Progress has been slow, I think I drive the car more than I work on it, and sometimes I do neither Looks mostly the same, just less rust and more black paint.
Serban
Here's a few pics I took yesterday, most of the rust repair has been done, just a few more spots. I also had some power loss, and lean condition at full throttle at 4000rpm and up. It turned out to be a very very dirty/clogged filter, so make sure you check your fuel filter often! V-Fib
I know you dropped and repainted the outside of the fuel tank early on in your build but did you de-rust the inside? If it's bad this may happen again. Just a thought.
Serban
Never de-rusted the tank. When I drained it, the fuel came out clean, and I peeked inside and it didn't look bad, so I left it alone. I'll probably check up on the fuel filter when I do my next oil change, just to see how things are looking.

Serban
Looking good, nice progress thus far. Thanks! Goal is to get it painted by the end of the year. I think I'll keep it gold, the car in the Clarion video had me sold on leaving it the same color.

LegnaZetr0
Man i wish i kept up with the forums more, I'm currently in china till the end of this year but before i left i emptied out my 3 car garage last minute and ended up throwing away so many good z parts since i had no where to keep them or time to try and sell them. Didnt know there were many local members working on projects a lot of those parts could've been useful to you. Now i'll know for future reference keep up the work, itd be Good to see more s30s driving around in south fl Edited August 17, 2014 by 73FairladyZDriver

Serban
I continued to have fuel problems, drained the tank a few times, and a whole lot of rust came out. So it was time to have it cleaned and recoated professionally. Due to the aggressive nature of the cleaning, the screen pickup inside the tank is gone, and I've had to run a filter before the pump. New Bosch fuel pump and fuel filter. I've eliminated the fuel damper from the system.
Serban
While I was under the car, I upgraded my fart can from a no name brand S13 ebay one, to a Vibrant titanium...what can I say, it sounds better at least And I started to pull off the whole front end to see what kind of rust I was dealing with there. Not terrible, mostly surface rust. Don't mind the office carpet inside the car...it came that way I know expanding foam isn't the best fix, but it will have to work for now There she is, put back together, with a new front splitter. That's it for now, mostly because my latest acquisition is taking up all my time; 91 Sentra SE-R
~KnuckleDuster~
Looks good. What are your plans for the b13? I wish I still had my black 91..they're nearly impossible to find these days unmolested, but yours looks clean.
Serban
The B13 is pretty much done. I had to update a few things, and some basic maintenance since it sat for about 8 years. But it's great the way it is. This is my daily driver now, so I don't want to mess with it too much.

Brendanm71240z
My l24 also leans out on the top end with recently rebuilt carbs...maybe I also have a clogged up fuel filter! I know what i will be doing tomorrow...
Serban
Thanks! Check the fuel filter, that could be your culprit.
