EvMcMan Posted December 5, 2013 Share Posted December 5, 2013 Can someone please let me know if I should be worrying about how close the compressor side of the turbo is to the exhaust manifold?? Its nearly touching and there is no way to fit the original heat sheild without modifications. I was thinking to fit a spacer but the bolts are integrated to the manifold. Any suggestions or what others have done would be appreciated, or should I not worry about it? Also, it is a turbonetics t3/04. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dexter72 Posted December 5, 2013 Share Posted December 5, 2013 I removed the 4 original studs and installed longer ones when i added my spacer. You may be able to have a regular spacer cut in half, that might be just enough to get away with not needing longer studs. Maybe you can stack a few metal gaskets onto the manifold. redzedturbo Posted December 14, 2013 Share Posted December 14, 2013 I'm running a to4e 50 trim on mine with a 3/8 spacer with i believe stock studs. Without the spacer it fit when clocked correctly but was so close to the manifold i was worried about heat soak so we made a spacer. It is also a turbonetics unit. Best of luck!!!
