XplosiveLugnut
Having just got my first Z, I've got plenty of questions, most of which get answered with a bit of searching. This ones really odd ball though. So, at some point in my Z's life it was stolen. The original ignition was trashed and replaced. I think they put in the wrong one. The steering column cover doesn't fit right and you have to get behind the combo switch to get the key in. I know this is in interiors, but I figured I'd mention that it's got a couple black wires with male spade terminals dangling too.
luseboy
That appears to be the correct ignition. The dangling wires are only there to activate a buzzer when you open the door that tells you the key is still in the ignition, you might as well cut them off right at the ignition. XplosiveLugnut
Thanks for replying! I realized that I'd just asked a stupid question, probably not the last, and that there is no such "wrong ignition"(excluding wrong ignitions). Thanks for confirming the buzzer wires though! I suppose this can be moved to the tool shed? If only the thread could be deleted. It can at least be closed right?
