s1rabbit
Hello, my names Roger I'm from San Diego, Ca. I just bought a 1973 240z and ran into numerous problems. All the electrical issues have been accounted for and the majority of it are fixed, atleast the more important things. Now that I've finally gotten through that headache.. my mechanic says the SU carbs are the problem at the moment since he doesnt work on carbs, he doesn't know for sure and reccomended I seek help from a specialist. I don't have much money but I can spare some for someone here that can help another member out that has the passion for these vehicles. I really have no clue about carbs, but I am willing to learn, it's in the shop right now and is my only vehicle. Getting to work has been such a hassle, so anyone with knowledge around San Diego that can help me out will be appreciated. I atleast need it to be adjusted to drive for now so I can get to work and back until I can figure out a solution. If someone can get in touch with me, PM me for my email or number. Much appreciated everyone. Sorry to sound so desperate lol.. but I am ! =]
Miles
Go here and buy the video "Just SUs" : http://www.ztherapy.com/ Watch it. Ztherapy also sells SU parts and books. Download a Factory Service Manual (FSM) for your Z. There are links in the other forums and at other sites. Buy a Haynes Manual for 240Zs. Do a Google search for SU carb tuning. There are many sites. Join Classiczcars.com. They are more aligned with stock Z maintenance.
