jomz shakes
Okay finally comming across some money and I'm getting all my parts lined up. I'm a over the road truck driver and I'm working on my car on the road and once every 6 weeks while I come home. I'm going to be porting my non egr manifold next week and am creatively thinking of ways to work on bits and pieces while I'm on the road. so far I have... 440cc supra injectors Non egr intake manifold Free ebay boost controller w gauge(guy that I bought the injectors from said he bought a different one because he couldn't read how much boost it was giving, not sure if I trust it I'm trying to hit 18psi) Walbro 255 fuel pump Rx7 fc oil cooler steel mandrel u-bends for intercooler piping that's left over from exhaust work Aeromotive a1000 -6an FPR w gauge 89 240sx throttle body w/ TPS from manual transmission -Need to get a whole megasquirt package. Thinking ms2v3 w relay board and whatever makes it easier to install. Still doing research.need help installing this at least some supervision. -Need turbo engine w everything attached Manifold, oil line, harness, dist, -Need t3/t4 turbo (don't know what type?) -Need intercooler (large npr) -Need wide band O2 (?) -Need BOV (going cheap 1rst gen dsm) -Need radiator fan (taurus fan mod) -Need plans for ignition (msd 6a?-stock?) -Need pallnet fuel rail and TB spacer -Need nissan injector seals for supra inj. -Need manual steering rack so I can add steering angle -Need 2.5 downpipe -Need help installing all this crap haha -Need help filling in the blanks for my parts list Plans during the build Look for rust under battery tray Paint engine bay Wire tuck and vacuum line tuck Delete egr Maybe move charcoal canister or remove Need to learn how to run coolant line into turbo Want to wrap EVERYTHING with heat wrap Want to do any other cooling efficient mods Need to figure whether I'm keeping AC or not Need to figure if I'm going to a manual steering rack or not "goal is for better steering angle for drifting""also will take stress off pulleys and allow for a lighter pulley" Goal is as close to 400hp as I can I'm going non sequential with Megasquirt if I can get away with it. Need to know if I will really benefit from Port polishing a p90 head even though the cost is about 2k."money is kind of an issue but I can value time and money spent early instead of redoing it all"

jomz shakes
Got a email back from diy. Looks like everything I want. Hello, Here’s a quote for a pretty complete system with the ECU/Stim assembled: CLTIATwPiggy- $17.75 GM CLT sensor MS2357-C $445 Assembled Megasquirt-II with V3.57 PCB MSHarness $67 8' wiring harness IATwPiggy $22.25 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 38NPT-Bung_A $9 Aluminum bung for IAT sensor (Also available in stainless steel) TuneCable $5.50 6' DB9 tuning cable USB-2920 $22.50 (Only needed if your laptop doesn’t have a true DB9 port) MSRelay-C $94 TW_L28ET- $28 Subtotal without wideband-- $711 The Stim kit is a good idea if you are assembling your own ECU so that you can check the ECU while you build it. Also the standard MAP sensor reads up to 21psi, above that you can swap to a 4 bar map sensor to read up to 44psi. Yes the ECU will read a variable TPS from a 240sx. acticles: http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/how_to_megasquirt_your_280zx_turbo.htm http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/using_diyautotune_nissan_trigger_discs.htm
jomz shakes
What's the best order to do this swap from na to turbo? Should I install ms and swap the engine and harness at the same time? Should I swap the engine first and get a stock turbo ecu? Should I install ms first? What other things should I do"in the while I'm at it" category for a project like this?? OldAndyAndTheSea
Install Megasquirt on your n/a motor. The wiring doesn't change when you go turbo. This way you wont be troubleshooting two, or more, systems at once (engine, and EFI). I am. And I sometimes regret taking the long route. (Went carb--> stock l28e efi --> Now Turbo with MS) The stock n/a EFI step was a waste of time, but I learned a lot. jomz shakes
I'll hook up the electric fan, fuel pressure regulator, msd, and Megasquirt first. I need to figure out if im going to get a blown engine and put forged pistons in it and use arp head and rod bolts w a metal Headgasket. Or Buy a running engine and hope it lasts.
