JKDGabe
I think I need a fuel pressure regulator... is an adjustable one worth the money? I plan on IC'ing and upping the boost some day, will it help to be able to adjust the fuel pressure? Where's the best place to buy? Thanks! Guest Anonymous
Motorsports has a "rising rate" fuel pressure regulator for a turbo (P/N 11-3074) for $229 . I am not aware of an additional source for your turbo application.
Len
If you keep stock injectors on your 280zxt then RRFPR would be the answer(it would max out your stock injectors). If that is the case then you could also check E-bay. They have ones from time to time. Now if you are going to install larger injectors with your mentioned mods then you would want to buy a Adjustable Fuel press. regulator vac. indexed 1 to 1 (as compared to RRFPR 4 to 1 thats 4 psi. to 1 of vac.). You can buy a AFPR from Jegs for around $114 to $129. Len

Len
yo2001 Do you have a website (or a sales outlet) for "Vortex". I did a search engine and couldn't find them.
JKDGabe
Sure appreciate the help. Anybody ever used one on a Z before? Looks like the mounting might be a little akward... and I didn't see anything on their site explaing the different ratios, 4:1 - 12:1. How do I decide which one I need? One more thing, can I test the FPR I've got now?
yo2001
4:1-12:1 is fuel pressure:boost ratio. so on 12:1, 12psi raise fuel pressure per 1 pound of boost. Too big IMO. I say 4:1 is plainty but I don't know how your car is set up so I can't tell you. I've not seen it on Z yet(I've seen the cartech unit before)but I just saw one on Vtec SI with drag 3 kit. he had it mounted on the firewall. Guest Anonymous
Get an aeromotive FPR, you can get one from summit. Mine is ajustable from 30 to 70 PSI base with a 1:1 boost/vac ajustment. thier very high quality and only $
Guest 240hybrid
I talked with a guy that has a MSA performance rising rate pressure reg.(if your gonna use this one) his email is mxs666@att.net I was interested, but I researched it further and talked around, and found out it wouldnt be good for my setup. He should still have it if your looking for the MSA reg. at a lower price than MSA's list price....he said it was never used.

Guest Anonymous
Hey, you could look into one from a Mitsubishi Starion/Dodge Conquest, apparently they are rising rate from the factory (1# of pressure for every 1# of boost), just a thought. yo2001
Stock Datsun is 1:1 rasing rate too as much as I know but usually RRFPR are 2:1 ratio up.
