WellThatsSurprising
In the middle of a RB26 swap on my 260Z and am now coming to the transmission. I could order a used RB25 5 speed and new flywheel/clutch for about 2500 or go for a RB25 auto trans for much cheaper. The car is a daily so 350HP max until I can afford a new Haltech unit and then it will be switchable tune. I have a megashift controller from another project so that has the electronics covered. Other than that, what all is there as far as installation go? Would it fit with my McKinney mount kit? I've never done much with auto transmissions before. winstonusmc
Auto transmissions have a different drive shaft (splines) and a different mount. Other than that, not sure how the ECU shifts them, some use the ECU and some have a separate controller depending on R32 or R33. Done a couple swaps in Japan on Skylines and Silvias with RB motors. I would have to look at a schematic to be sure
