rags
I'm running a 1900 on an LS1 that I have been piecing together to save some money. I don't want to go to Magnuson for a heat exchanger since they charge over $600 for the one in the GTO kit. Has anyone used a heat exchanger from another source? texis30O
Let me see what I have. I know I am going with a bigger one than the one I have because I plan on being on a track and I have been told that this one will not hold up.
texis30O
My heat exchanger is in fact a GTO one retro'd for now. I will more than likely do a custom unit sooner than later.
rags
I'm interested in what you are thinking for sizing on a custom unit. Do you have a manufacturer or builder in mind? Joe
texis30O
I was going to go through my shop. PowerFab, it was going to be a 3 row, if i am not mistaken. I will let you know specs. Ypu interested in one as well if i can get them to make me 1.
rags
It obviously would depend on price but I'd be interested if they made one that would fit around the stock AC exchanger. Joe

We Bad
rags, how much boost are you planning on?
rags
Thanks guys! The tuner will tell me how much boost I can run before heat soak becomes an issue. I'm still running the stock intercooler although I did go overkill on the heat exchanger. 8 lbs to start.
