tyler031734
240z's never had a factory rear sway bar. I don't think they even got attachment brackets until 1973. If you search google for install on a series one 240z you will find a few options.
HS30-H
240z's never had a factory rear sway bar. I don't think they even got attachment brackets until 1973. Actually the rear sway bar / anti roll bar was part of the original design and engineering of the whole S30-series Z range at launch. It was only the north American market HLS30-U models that were not fitted with them. The rest of the world (European HLS30, UK, Aus. and NZ HS30 and Japanese Fairlady Z/Z-L/432/432-R) had them as stock equipment from the beginning of production in 1969. Z Guy KY
You are correct that the 1970 USA models do not even have the brackets for a rear sway bar. Best thing to do is order ST Suspension part# 51075, rear sway bar bracket kit. This kit comes with the specially designed replacement plates that the sway bar mounts to that connects to the frame properly. This sway bay mounting is reversed of the Z's that came stock with a sway bar. The ST sway bar mounting is with the bar going behind the differential and mounting to these plates. Good Luck!
