xringx Posted May 3, 2015 Share Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) Engine is from a 6/74 build date 260z L26 095250 Odometer reading from 12/2012 title said 66,984... Current Odometer reading is 49,023... . I know nothing of the history of the engine, other than it runs surprising well in my estimation. The tranny is stiff and is suspect in my opinion... I have no idea what to ask for... Edit to add... They don't historically fetch as much as the larger displacement lump. Although don't tell that to some hopeful guy around here who's been advertising an L26 for over a year now--he wants $1500! He just keeps reposting the ad with no details...waaay out of the ballpark IMHO. But you never know when someone who is in a desperate search for ANY Z Car engine will come knocking. It could happen. If the tranmission seems "suspect" and if it's a four, not a five speed, then it's either for parts only or a boat anchor.
