Mike Mileski
I have a 1971 240Z. The ads for hoods say that 240Z and 280Z hoods are different. Just how "different" are they? Would it be simple or hard or impossible for me to adapt a 280Z hood onto a 240Z? Mike Mileski Tucson, AZ
SRRTz
Late 280z hoods have vents but other than that they should be the same. I've been running a 240z hood on my 280z for years.
Six_Shooter
They physically fit exactly the same, but the later 280Z hoods have vents as mentioned, which makes them different, but doesn't exclude them from fitting.
dexter72
Will all fit as has been said, A lot of people put the later model Hood Vent hood on, to help get rid of underhood heat.
TUME
Will all fit as has been said, A lot of people put the later model Hood Vent hood on, to help get rid of underhood heat. Is it helping? I mean does those 280 style vents really working?
