Slow to build boost L28et with Stock T3

since you dont have a wideband I would check plugs, . get a fuel pressure tester either in line or harbor freight not expensive. are you using a rising rate regulator?. Can't remember but I assume you have checked compression ...

I have a in line fuel pressure gauge on order should be here this weekend I hope, I am still on the stock regulator, and compression is good but could not hurt to check one more time. just because Datsun, and I am ordering a WbO2 today

Ok I think I have found the causes..

 

1. The waste-gate is messed, disconnected it and the car runs better.  

 

2. The BOV is leaking when the the line from the intake is hooked up so I need a quality BOV.

 

3. Even with the waste-gate disconnected the car will not boost more then 8 psi I believe the turbo needs some love. 

 

Now on the plus side.

 

1. Fuel pressure is good but a touch high I believe 37@ idle and will just up to almost 50 while under load.

 

2. Car is a blast to drive even with with only 8 psi and a auto trans and compressor back feed when I let off the petal it sounds like a HKS ssq

 

3. I am going to get a the turbo upgraded to a T3T4 by AZ Turbo, and a new Turbosmart internal 10psi wastegate, and a new exhaust and new BOV.

 

4. I picked up a 5 speed

 

Got the GoPro charging and I am going to shoot some vid later to show how the car is running now.

Have any of you run a aftermarket wastegate on you stock turbo?

 

I also ordered a now BOV..

 

 

And here are a few vids from the drag strip on Saturday night I figured  the car was running better then it ever has why not take it out and see how much it has improved scene I picked it up.

Me vs my friends 350Z .. we had the same trap speed yet he was a sec faster.

 

 

 

Cant wait to get my new parts in and see if I can break 100mph and that 10psi wastegate should help.
