ritrebor
I have the 6 bolt evenly spaced companion flange adaptor from modern motors. I have the 4 bolt 300zxt CV's that I want to install in my 280z with an R200 Are the companion flange adaptor's the same height so all I would have to redrill them to the 4 bolt. If some one has a set of 4 bolt ones I would appreciate knowing the overall height. thanks in advance. ritrebor
NewZed
Aren't the stock 300ZXT axles too long anyway? Even if the adapters are the same width/height the stock axles will be too long after re-drilling. The 280ZXT CV axles seem to be the right length. But they're hard to find. ritrebor
Got this from the Pinned FAQ. "The Z31 got a different, stronger CV shaft. In addition to being stronger, the housing for the CV joint is smaller in diameter, and this means that it interferes with sway bar end links less. There are two different Z31 CV shafts. The normally aspirated Z31 uses a 6 bolt shaft. For whatever reason, these shafts are too long to be used in the S30 chassis. Don’t get NA Z31 shafts. The Z31 turbo shafts have 4 bolts, and they are the right size to fit into the S30, using companion flange adapters from www.modern-motorsports.com." ritrebor
