Xnke Posted February 21, 2016 Share Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) They can be flat on the bottom. Most of the aftermarket ones are and are ground to thickness. They need to be hardened to 50-53RC. Hardness needs to be tightly controlled. Yep, I've made some. It's cheaper to buy them. z240 Posted April 8, 2016 Share Posted April 8, 2016 Is it a crazy idea to make thin round shims of various thickness to place under the very plentiful stock lask pads to raise them to the needed height? Surely (don't call me Shirley) this would be a cheaper way to go. Obviously you might need nice tall retainers to make sure there are no escapees....
