Phantom
And forget about using 6th gear, unless you get a 4.38 diff, in which case, you can forget about using 1st. At the track you are right but he'll use it the whole time he's driving to the track!
The Infidel
I use my car mostly for autocross. I have a 3.36 rear gear with 23 inch tall tires, and wish I could get something closer to 3.00. I would love to get second gear to rev to 80 mph. Short or long nose 3.36?
Mikey303LSZ
70MPH=2400RPM. 75=2600, 80=2700, 85=2800 with 215/55r16 tires. Each year friends and I do a national car event - we're on the road for 9-10 days driving 3800 miles round trip typically running 2700 to 3000 rpm. 74_5.0L_Z
Short or long nose 3.36? I have a long nose R200 with the 3.36 gear and an old Nissan Motorsports CLSD that is shimmed really tight. I have considered swapping to a different set-up to get more gear options. However I am starting to move away from autocross and toward track days, so this will be less of an issue.
