E88 head from 83 euro Datsun Laurel

I have a 1983 Datsun Laurel with a single carb'd L24 (W24 block and E88 head). I also have a spare L28 (N42/N42) that I plan on putting in flat top pistons and a cam. This engine I was planning on dropping the Laurel.

Is the N42 better to use on a high compression build or would this E88 be a good head?

Depends what chamber it has....

 

There are at least three different E88 chambers that I know of, late L24 Early L26, and a third which was for EFI...

Each has it's own attributes.

Post Photos and those who don't know what chamber a "83 Datsun Laurel L24 E88" has, will be able to weigh in....

I don't know what it looks like... Sometimes, you gotta do some legwork.
