hey everyone,

I'm looking into putting a TBI setup on my 350. first the engine, its a mild build 9.5:1

77 model block with 78 low comp heads with 2.02's and a lil exhaust port smoothing. it has an Edelbrock performer plus cam, intake and a 600 carb on it. I dont have the cash for an aftermarket FI setup. What i'd like to do is take a TBI setup from another car. Does anyone have any info or links to a site that has this type of info? I'd like to retain use of the intake if possible.

thanks in advance

I just bought a complete TBI setup off ebay for $145! It included the intake, TB, EGR, and all the misc. sensors that plug into the intake. I've been running a TBI 350 in my GMC for 4 years and put 200,000 on the first motor and am 12,000 into the rebuild. My 4000# truck runs 9s in the 1/8th and handles like a dream...for a truck! I'm a BIG fan of TBI units!!!!

TBI. Did you guys see that Holley is offering a TBI system with the new 950 Commander computer? It's in the $1300 range I think. Slap it on a regular intake, wire up an O2 maybe a IAC motor, and you have computerized engine control. Looks tempting.

hey folks,

Just wanted to post and say thanks for the input. It looks like my FI investigation will stay in the invstigating stage for awhile. (probably not a bad thing) Some clown hit my pickup truck in front of my house and totalled it.
