JamesRB25280zx
I put a new crank pully on my RB25DET. Trying to tighten it with a torque wrench and everything turns over. Trans is on and in gear, drives haft is connected and wheels on ground. Shouldn't it not turn the engine?
heyitsrama
you're turning the crank within everything in gear, its going to spin everything thats connected within the drivetrain. What i did to set the torque on my crank pully was to put the car into the highest gear (offering the most resistance to spinning) then torque it down to spec. When I was in first gear I could move the car forward while applying pressure.
JamesRB25280zx
That's what I'm doing. In 5th gear. It's turning over everything with no resistance at all and car sits still.
JamesRB25280zx
Got it figured. I forgot to switch the new slave cylinder on. Stock one was still on and it wasn't connected to the clutch master. My bad
