skyline240z
Anyone here try to use the Honda S2000 suspension on their Zs? The whole sub frames and arms shocks.
Neverdone
I think you'd be the first. The track width is about 6" more than the S30 though, So you'd probably have to flare the body to account for the extra 3" on each side. I'm more than excited for you to try it though
Namor
I would be very surprised if anyone ever has because S2000s have held their value very well. So, I'd imagine that acquiring a complete subframe wouldn't exactly be cheap.
Neverdone
People have talked about it swapping out whole subframes since forever. I'm still waiting on someone to find out how difficult a whole Miata subframe swap would be. Double-wishbone suspension all around? Easily mount RX-7 LSD? Yeah I'd be ok with that. jthom5147
I've looked into Miata double wishbone. You would have to cut out more undercarriage than the 240sx swaps and it would require custom upper arms because the upper inner arm pivot is about 3 inches inboard and a few inches below the stock frame, so the arms would need to be "notched" when looking front to back to clear the z chassis or the z tire well would need to be removed to allow arm movement on bump. jthom5147
If you kept the geometry but went with custom framing which moves the inboard arm attachments more behind the axle line it could work, but would still require upper arm clearance.
