Chandler347
I have a 1987 ford v8 overboared and cammed in my 240z and the alternator is bad. I found out its a chevy alternator but is it okay to have that on there or should i get one to match the engine? The one on there i know will work and is already set up so i could just swap it out. Is there any down sides to doing this? Thank you!
NewZed
Does not matter a bit. Alternators are simple electrical components that can be swapped on to any engine, as long as they're wired correctly.
