ralphsdiorama
Hey guys, I had a local shop install install a factory driver side mirror on my 240z. They just sent me this pic and to me it looks a bit far from the door jamb. Does this look right? Background: The previous owner shaved the mirror. Driving with no mirror was proving to be a pain. Spdrcr
That looks about the same as mine. I thought it was too far back as well. I want to add a passenger side mirror but have been pondering if the driver side was wrong.
ralphsdiorama
Thanks for the response. Yea, my worry now is that it is actually too far from the window trim and falls on the body line. Vs. being tight up against the window trim like in your picture.
cgsheen
I really can't tell from either of your pictures. The mirror base should be centered in the "valley" just below the window trim and just above that final bend in the door skin (the bend that follows the front fender top curve and continues the full length of the car over the wheels on the quarter - the classic "Z shape" body line). Sandy455
Looks right to me. Be careful on the passenger side tho. If you put it directly across from the drivers side mirror, you may not be able to see into it.
