fl327
just got one for my car, stacking up the components i guess. didnt even know what it was until i looked for it on ebay. its supposed to be good at not leaking at idle, which is the problem i have with the bosch bov, which probably is only supposed to be a recirc valve. its got an adjustment bolt on the side of it, i will probably tighten down all the way. im wondering how many of you are running one such as this with stock turbo efi and what you had to do to get it from stalling??? inquiring me needs to know. thanx. yo2001
I just go my car running and I got a Greddy BOV on stock AFM. Well, it smokes when the BOV is open (I'm guessing it's rich) and it does leak at idle alittle. No idling problem though. I've been tighting the BOV but it has try to die on me between shift couple times. But I think it's doable. I just got to mess with it some more. I'm going to recirculate it when the outlet adapter comes in. The Sequential suppose to leak less but I don't know if that's really true or not. Going to sleep now, I've been up since yesterday. speeder
I use an HKS SSBV - If in good repair these valves don't leak at all at idle. If using any BOV with the stock injection, you need to recirculate the BOV discharge back into the turbo inlet (after the AFM). I don't think the new - style HKS bov can be set up to recirculate. Cody 82 ZXT
I run the GReddy Type S BOV and just vent it to the atmoshpere. I do tighten it down so that there is no leak at idle. With it set like this the valve has a very fast open and shut effect so it only open a very short amount of time. Works well so far.
fl327
ok then, imma try it, all the ads for this one its a HKS supersequential bov, all the ads say its a pull type mechanism that will not vent at idle, im just gonna have a backup pipe ready i guess. thanx for the input guys, cant wait to have a true bov. two things i had to have when i started this project-a fmic and a bov, lets go! Jason81NA,82RBtt
I would see if a Apexi Super AFC will work on our cars. I've seen them listed for cars that still had the AFM like the 280zxT.Like 90's MR2's. The S-AFC has a setting that will allow for open-vent BOV.Plus it would allow for some rpm based tuning of the fuel. Good Luck JasonRB260ZX
