bumble zee Posted February 7, 2003 Share Posted February 7, 2003 i have swapped a 81zxt motor into my 76 z. noe the 81zxt fi harness that goes over to the passenger side of the car that has the, knock sensor, head temp sensor, and the efi relay. Now off of the efi realy, it splits. There is a white plug, 5 pins, colors are, green, purple, yellow, white, black with a white stripe. I just put a new fi loom in my car, and i had the green wire hooked up to something on my first zxt loom, but i went to hook it up to the new loom and the wire that hooked up to the green wire like broke off what ever it was attached to. Now, I have looked in the fsm, and it sais that that green wire goes to the air regulator, I dont run a air regulator. So do i need do have the green wire hooked up to something else?? randy 77zt Posted February 17, 2003 Share Posted February 17, 2003 i have a 81 zxt in my 77 but its been in there for 6 years and i dont remember.i went to pick&pull and got pieces of harness for the plugs and made adaptors by soldering wires -both harnesses were not modified.car passes smog in california.
