How should my Holley double pumper be jetted for a 327Z?

Heavy Z

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I'm getting ready to take my Holley DP into a shop and wanted to ask some advise first. What jets should I go with - my experience is in webers not holleys. I thought that since the Z is so light it might be ok to jet down the primaries. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Brett

Tough question.

Depends on your compression, cam, heads, manifold, headers, exhaust.

Start with the OE jet sizes for the listing number of the carb. The shop will have this info.

That's a starting point. I did that on my 327 with a 650 DP and had to lean out the primaries by 2-4 sizes.

Thanks, here's some more info:

Compression - 9.5:1

Cam - Comp Cams XE268H

Heads - Edelbroch Performer RPM 64cc with 2.02/1.6 valves

Manifolds - Edelbroch Performer RPM/rams horn

Exhaust - 2 2 1/2" into single 3"

Much appreciated,

Brett

Heavy, I would buy yourself a Holley jet kit and take you car into Ralph's Hot Rod heaven and dyno it. It is 75 bucks for 3 pulls and that includes a/f readings. This way you will truely be able to see what your motor wants for jets sizes.
